Enviro Cloth - Cat Vomit in Carpet

I'm sure I've blogged about using an Enviro Cloth to clean spots in the carpet but, it never hurts to write another post about how amazing the Enviro Cloth is.

Do you know what color my carpet is going to be when we have to replace this light colored stuff?  Cat vomit brown.  I'm only sorta joking about that.

Last week, one of my cats likely ate something he shouldn't have which caused 15 hours of vomiting.
Instead of reaching for the Carpet Stain Buster, I thought I'd just try an Enviro Cloth that was wet with water.  Yes, just water.  If you haven't read about this amazing cloth, you need to read this post.
It took a little extra elbow grease than if I had sprayed the spot with Carpet Stain Buster first, but it worked and wasn't that much extra effort!  And I used just WATER!

Carpet Stain Buster in a Spotbot

I have two cats.  They tend to vomit.  Last week, one of them had some issue (probably ate something he shouldn't have) and vomited for 15 hours.
Gross.  I bought a Spotbot from a friend a few months ago.  I decided to try the Carpet Stain Buster in it.

I poured 1-2 capfuls into the tank and then filled it the rest of the way with water.
The result?  Easier & cheaper carpet cleaning!

Relay for Life - Commission Donation

First, a huge THANK YOU to all of the people who made this post possible.  All of my commission for the month of May was donated to my mom for her Relay for Life walk.  Donations of $150+ receive a giant luminary to decorate as they chose.  Here is what I did with mine.

Unfortunately there are also names on the side.  And the name of a friend who is under 40 battling breast cancer had to be added since this was made (go get a mammogram, it can happen to anyone).  Just too many names.

I am so thankful that my mom is a survivor and able to organize a great group of women to support a great cause.

My dad is also on this box.  He recently finished treatments for prostate cancer and his PSA level is now back where it should be.  Yay!  You will also see some other close family members listed.  This is a cause I hold near and dear to my heart so from now on, I will be donating 25% of my Norwex commission to help fight cancer.  I think Norwex products themselves are a tool for reducing instances of cancer in the future by eliminating the need for nasty chemicals.

Crystal Deodorant - 3 Generations Using It

Last week, my mom and I traveled to visit my grandma for a few days.  The next morning, this is what I found on the bathroom counter.
That would be my grandma's Norwex crystal deodorant, my mom's Norwex crystal deodorant, and my Norwex crystal deodorant.

We all started using it last summer.  My grandma obviously doesn't use hers often (she doesn't need to).  My mom has been using hers everyday and is still on her first one.  I am on my second (because I dropped the first).  I am so happy that none of us are no longer putting harmful chemicals under our arms.

Crystal Deodorant - Care Update

Shortly after my last blog post about the crystal deodorant, I dropped it and it broke.  I could still use it but decided to start over with a new one.  I've cared for this one differently than I did the first one.  Instead of wiping it with my body cloth (which I had used the night before to wash my face) after each use, I just run it under water for a few extra seconds when I'm done using it.  I've had this deodorant for 2 months now and it still doesn't smell like BO like my old one did.  I don't know if the old one was picking up something from my body cloth (which didn't smell) that was causing it to smell or if the chemicals have worked their way out of my system.  I've heard other consultants say their Norwex crystal deodorant smelled when they first started using it but stopped after a couple of months of use.  They believe that the chemicals from their old deodorant were leaching out of their system and once their system was free of them, their deodorant stopped smelling.  I can't confirm this theory but it's an interesting one.
Another consultant posted this pic earlier today and I thought I'd pass it on.
